Contributing to the Centenary

The Geography Centenary Committee welcomes the involvement of Alumni in the organisation of events currently being planned and in the initiation of additional activities for the Centenary year. Anyone wishing to be involved or having suggestions about events is invited to contact Dr Hayden Lorimer in the first instance.

Whilst the Centenary Programme as a whole recognises and celebrates 100 years of past achievement in Geography in Glasgow, we see the Centenary as helping secure a successful future for geography and for geographers for the next century and beyond.

We are most happy to meet with Alumni wishing to make a contribution of funds in the form of bequests or gift awards, with the principal intention of supporting postgraduate research in geography in the Department. Alumni with a wish to contribute can contact Professor Trevor Hoey in the first instance.
