Summary of research My work, thus far, is best described as Political Geography, although this often overlaps with Economic and Cultural Geography. My main theoretical concerns are centred upon relations between space, structure and agency. Core research interests include: Geographies of resistance, subaltern political identities, democracy, action-orientated research and urban planning and design Following on from my Masters dissertation, which was centred upon the everyday workings of an urban Social Centre in Nijmegen, Netherlands, my PhD research focuses on three interrelated themes: (1) alternative urban imaginings (2) pragmatic anarchism and (3) participatory democracy.
