Biography

I received my Ph.D in Isotope Geochemistry/Palaeolimnology from University College London in 2004, based in the Environmental Change Research Centre and then completed a postdoc in the Department of Plant Biology, U. Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research focuses on developing multiproxy palaeolimnological records of past climate, especially on the Tibetan Plateau and Alaska. I have studied the late Holocene climate of Lake Qinghai, NE Tibetan Plateau; diatom isotopes of a number of lakes across southern Alaska and have a developing program of research examining tropical palaeoclimatology from Papua New Guinea to Australia.

2004 - Ph.D. Palaeolimnology. University College London
1999 - M.Res. Environmental Sciences. University College London
1998 - B.Sc. Natural Sciences (Biology & Geography). Durham University
