Biography

B.Sc. (Exeter), Ph.D. (Exeter)

Research interests

Devonian and Carboniferous faunas in general; Devonian trilobites of the Suborder Phacopina; Carboniferous palaeoecology; Carboniferous Scyphozoa, Porifera and incertae sedis; Lower Carboniferous stratigraphy; Tertiary and Quaternary faunas and stratigraphy of Macaronesia (Central Atlantic Islands).

Current research

Lower Carboniferous semaeostomatid scyphozoans (jellyfish) of Central Scotland. Lower Carboniferous lyssakiid spongesof Central Scotland. Tertiary and Quaternary geology of the island of Madeira.
