Biography I am a geomorphologist. In 2007 I completed my PhD at Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). In my PhD I worked on the evaluation of lahar processes at Popocatépetl volcano (Mexico) by applying simulation programs (LaharZ and TITAN2D) and doing sediment and hydraulic analysis on lahar deposits. Current research Nowadays, I am working in some projects with Professor Paul Bishop. The first study is estimating erosion rates in the river Lachlan (Australia) using cosmogenic Ne21 and cosmogenic Be10 analysis. The second project studies the implications of dam breaching in the channel morphology of bedrock rivers in Scotland. As a study case, a mill dam located close to Loch Lomond was chosen. Preliminary results suggest that the increase in the river's erosive capacity after dam breaching in settings dominated by bedrock substrates, are more probably related with less dramatically down- and up- stream impacts than in alluvial rivers. The third project is applying OSL for evaluation hydraulic behavior in geomorphological events, like lahars in Popocatepetl volcano, Mexico.
