Biography

2011 Ph.D. Geological Sciences, BROWN UNIVERSITY, RI, U.S.A. 2004 M.Sc. Quaternary Sciences, NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY, AZ, U.S.A. 2000 B.Sc. Geology and Biology, UNION COLLEGE, SCHENECTADY, NY, U.S.A.

Research interests

My research interests include using multiproxy techniques (i.e. organic biomarkers, compound-specific isotopes, pollen analysis, etc.) to reconstruct past climate and environmental change at multiple geologic timescales. The ultimate goal of this research is to better understand how modern and future climate functions as part of the earth system. Determining the mechanistic links between climate processes enables no only better understanding how the system works, but allows for data and climate model comparisons to test climate change as part of a dynamic system at the global, regional and local levels.

Current research

I currently have ongoing research projects related to development and application of new biomarkers or existing biomarkers to new settings. These projects include, continental lake sites in the U.S., Canada, Scotland, and Japan; marginal marine settings in Antarctica and the U.K. Please email me for more information on any of my ongoing research.
